Yuva Tourism Club Initiates Tourist Information Desk at MZU Guest House on World Tourism Day 2024

In celebration of World Tourism Day 2024, the Yuva Tourism Club proudly launched the Tourist Information Desk at the Mizoram University Guest House. This initiative aims to provide essential travel-related services to guests and visitors, enhancing their experience while staying at Mizoram University.

Inaugurated on 27th September 2024, this service is managed by members of the Yuva Tourism Club and offers valuable information about local attractions, travel arrangements, and cultural insights. The Tourist Information Desk serves as a dedicated hub to promote tourism in the region, reflecting Mizoram University’s commitment to fostering tourism and cultural exchange.

The launch of this desk is not only a resource for tourists but also provides practical exposure for students from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in managing tourism services.

The Yuva Tourism Club encourages all visitors and members of the university to make use of the Tourist Information Desk and contribute to promoting Mizoram's rich heritage and scenic beauty.

MIZORAM, September 27, 2023 – On the auspicious occasion of World Tourism Day, celebrated globally on September 27th, 2023, the Tourism Department of the Government of Mizoram proudly awarded the Yuva Tourism Club of MIZORAM University the prestigious 2 nd Prize for the Best Yuva Tourism Club. This esteemed recognition is a testament to the club's unwavering commitment to promoting responsible and sustainable tourism while fostering a deep appreciation for the rich cultural and natural heritage of Mizoram.

Out of more than 200 participating clubs, the Yuva Tourism Club MIZORAM University stood out for its exceptional dedication and impressive array of activities conducted between 2021 and 2023. The Tourism Department evaluated the clubs based on their innovative and impactful initiatives in the realm of tourism promotion and environmental conservation.
